The Monon South Trail Phase 1A project delivered 20 miles of new multi-use trail across seven cities in Indiana, completing a significant portion of the planned 62-mile Monon South Greenway along the historic Monon Railroad corridor.
Constructed between July 2024 and May 2025, the project transformed a former rail corridor into a modern, ADA-compliant recreational and transportation asset serving multiple counties and communities.
Impact & Purpose
The completed corridor now serves as a major recreational and transportation link connecting communities throughout Southern Indiana.

Technical Complexity
The project required construction across remote, dispersed, and non-contiguous work zones with limited site access and variable environmental conditions. Despite geographic dispersion and condensed scheduling constraints, the project was delivered on schedule, with portions opened early to the public.
