The Woerner Avenue Corridor Improvements project transformed a key redevelopment area in Clarksville, Indiana into a modern, mixed-use boulevard supporting commercial growth and community engagement.

MAC Construction delivered 1,400 linear feet of new roadway infrastructure, streetscape enhancements, and pedestrian-focused amenities – all constructed alongside active residential and commercial development.

Technical Complexity

Construction occurred within a confined work zone adjacent to active commercial properties and residential developments. Despite constrained conditions and utility conflicts, the project was completed safely with no preventable utility damage.

Key complexities included:

  • Coordination of more than 40 subcontractors and suppliers
  • Management of unknown and abandoned underground utilities
  • High pedestrian traffic requiring proactive safety controls and sequencing
  • Phased execution to support ongoing development activity
