Kennedy Bridge Rehabilitation
MAC Construction served as the general contractor for the rehabilitation of the I-65 Kennedy Bridge, a 3,470-foot six-lane through-truss structure spanning the Ohio River and carrying more than 136,000 vehicles per day between Kentucky and Indiana.
As one of the region’s most heavily traveled corridors, the bridge required significant superstructure repairs to address aging components and sustained traffic demands. The project demanded technical precision, disciplined phasing, and continuous coordination to restore structural integrity while maintaining uninterrupted daily traffic.
Clifton Heights CSO Basin
The Clifton Heights Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Basin is an infrastructure project designed to provide 7 million gallons of stormwater storage, significantly reducing combined sewer overflows into the Ohio River and supporting Louisville MSD’s EPA Consent Decree requirements.
The project required deep excavation, complex reinforced concrete construction, mechanical system integration, and construction within a regulated floodplain environment – all executed under demanding site and environmental constraints.
INDOT Heavy Haul Road
MAC Construction completed the INDOT Heavy Haul Road, establishing a direct freight connection between the River Ridge Commerce Center and the Port of Indiana–Clark Maritime Center.
The project enhances regional freight mobility through construction of new heavy-duty roadway infrastructure, a three-span bridge, and associated drainage systems – supporting industrial growth and long-term economic development within the River Ridge corridor.
Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant – Segment II
The Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant (CHWTP) Residuals Conveyance System – Segment 2 project involved installation of dual 24-inch diameter pipelines connecting Zorn Avenue and River Road to Louisville Water’s B.E. Payne facility in Prospect, Kentucky.
